Family Fun Day

We thought we'd have a fun Family day today.

The day started with an outing to CiCi's pizza. This isn't usually my first choice for pizza but when a family of 4 can eat for only $13 then I'm in. After CiCi's we walked next door to Chuck E Cheese's to play. Chuck E Cheese's should be every mother's best friend! The kids love it and you can play any game you want for just 25 cents. If you sign up on thier website you will recieve great coupons too. Just a little plug for all you moms out there looking to save a buck!

We played hard so 45 minutes and only $5.00 later we were headed out to our next adventure.

The Bass Pro Shop! All month long the Bass Pro Shop has FREE picutures with Santa, games, crafts, face paint, etc. Every week is a different craft. This week is Santa  Bobbers.

Aren't they so cute?!

Looking at Fish

So, last year I took Zander and Truston to see Santa and Truston didn't mind it at all but Zander was terrified of him. Well, this year the roles have reversed. Zander was pumped about seeing Santa and  as we approached Santa Truston grabbed on to me for dear life and screamed! So, Matt and I sat in the picture with them. I will post the pic as soon as Bass Pro gets it up on their site. They give a free 4x6 while you are there and then you can pay $1.99 to get access to it on thier website so you can send it to all your friends and family. It takes about 72 hours for it show on the site. It's a great deal. I would highly recommend it!
Lots of Christmas fun to come!!

Some of us were worn out from our fun filled day.

Some not so much worn out as wound up!

Thanksgiving

The boys and I made some Thanksgiving crafts! I helped Zander and Truston trace thier hands to make a turkey and cut out pieces of tissue paper for the turkey feathers. Can you guess which one is Zander's and which one is Truston's?

We made a little pilgrim man to hang on Zander's door and one to hang on his door knob. We watched A Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving and learned all about the Pilgrims and Indians and the first Thanksgving. Zander thinks the Mayflower is a pirate ship though. Oh well!

We went to the Gomez's house in Tampa for Thanksgving lunch on Wed. the day before Thanksgving. It was great food and fun! I made Dressing (for the first time in my life) and it turned out great! I also made green bean casserole, brocoli cheese casserole and chocolate chip cookies.

We pigged out!

Well, everyone but Zander pigged out. He's such a strange child when it comes to food! Drives me crazy. He's picky and sometimes hardly eats a thing! I just want him to eat normal and make my life less stressful but he has been like this since he was a baby. I should be used to it by now!

Mmmmm....Dessert Time!

Silly Trivia game, which Anna and I kicked butt on, great food, great friends.
Thank you, Jesus for a great Thanksgiving. So much to be thankful for this year!

Dressed up for Church. Kinda.

All dressed up and on our way to church. Well, as dressed up as we get these days...nice pair of jeans and cute top. Thank God the days of wearing dresses and panty hose every sunday morning are over! Can I hear an AMEN?! Isn't this kid adorable? A heartbreaker I tell ya.

And this kid...he will be a heartbreaker as soon as he ditches the pacifier!
And this one...he's growing his hair out. Not sure what I think yet. We have been down this road before and he ended up playing Jesus in a church play. We'll see...I'm liking it so far.

This is as dressed up I get all week. I actually put make up on and fix my hair. And look at me showing off my Lia Sophia jewels! (that's for you; Jordy and Steph)

Old Fashion Friday Night

This is one of my new fave places to eat now. It's yummy down home cookin! The price is right and food is fab! Every Friday night Bob Evans has a car show...
Cars and oldies music

This car is exactly like the car Matt drove when he was 16. A '69 Skylark except Matt's was a puke green color. I drove it once it was a lot like driving a boat!

Yes, it's pink!

And this one...purple Ford truck. Can't you just picture me driving this on my farm in the city? Just call me "Kallie Mae"!

Zander liked the old fashion fire truck! It was a fun, old fashion family night!

Armor of God!

Ephesians 6:10-18

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints-- NKJV
Just a side note: I got all his armor at the Dollar Tree. A total of $5.00! That's a steal, moms!

Field Trip Day

The day started out to be a normal day in the Campbell house with some morning cartoons. We had our breakfast and Zander and I did some pre school work while Truston took a nap. Then my good friend, Anna, told me that the space shuttle would be launching from Titusville today at 2:30. Titusville is about an hour away from us and we have not been there yet but I thought "Why Not" This will be a great oppurtunity for a field trip!
We got there just fine with the help of my best friend, GPS, and were anxiously awaiting with about a million others to see the amazing launch!

I got Zander all pumped up and told him we were going to see a Rocket launch into space. He was so excited to see a "space ship".

There it is! It started as what looked like a ball of fire.

We were about 12 miles from the actual launching pad. It launched from Cape Canaveral.

There it goes.. It didn't take long for Zander to get excited about the fire and then he asked me "Mom, where are the astronauts?"

We were right on the water. When it got to this point it got really loud!

I felt like we should all be singing God Bless America or something but I refrained. It was pretty cool.

I was amazed how long we were able to watch it.

Truston saw it and got a little excited but wasn't really sure what all the fuss was about.

And it's gone...from our eyes anyway.

Then we ventured to Space View Park.

This monument is dedicated to The Project Mercury.

It was a fun adventure! Yeah for spontaneous field trip days!

My NEW home

Welcome to Sutton Place on University Boulevard...My front door
This is my view from living room while Truston stays busy outside on the patio.

Right behind our apartment is a lake. Looks more like a pond but aparently Florida doesn't have ponds. They have lots of small bodies of water they call lakes and they all have a fountain in them.

This is the sign right behind our apartment in front of the lake. Comforting? Right.

Pool Deck

Super nice Pool

This is where I enjoy spending time

And here. Especially in 60 degree weather. Nice!
More home tours to come. Maybe soon we will do a tour of the inside of our apartment.
